Worship Team

WORSHIP - The Worship Committee is primarily responsible for planning worship and special celebrations in the church. Sub-committees organize and coordinate various components with staff that support every worship service or celebration.

GREETERS - Greeters welcome members and visitors before and after each worship service. Ushers assist with worship bulletins, seating and offering collection. Liturgists assist by reading the Scriptures, Prayer of Confession and Assurance of Forgiveness. Flowers and Decorations committee assists with seasonal decorations for the sanctuary. Communion preparation committee prepares the elements prior to services celebrating communion.

MUSIC - God has blessed Pine Ridge with many talented, musical people. There is much more to making music happen than a beautiful voice or a nice sounding instrument. It takes volunteers to help lead, organize and maintain. It takes parents who are committed to getting their children to all the different functions and rehearsals. The music at Pine Ridge would never happen without dedicated volunteers like you. Please consider participating in an ensemble this season.

GODLY PLAY - Pine Ridge welcomes families with children and infants to our worship services. Godly Play is an option for children ages four through seven to worship together during the 11:00 a.m. worship service. This is a Montessori based curriculum that follows the liturgy of the church service. After the lesson, the children may choose different activities, including retelling the lesson with the beautifully crafted wooden pieces. During class, we share in the common union of communion the first Sunday of every month as well as Easter and Christmas. This time of worship takes the summers off. The first class meets the Sunday after Labor Day and the last class meets the Sunday before Memorial Day.
