I have been pastor of Pine Ridge since 1994. Prior to moving to Kansas City I served for eight years as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Dallas Center, Iowa, a small community just outside of Des Moines. I have been married to Marcia since 1985 and we have two children.

I graduated from McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago in 1986 and completed my Doctor of Ministry at St. Paul School of Theology in Kansas City in 2008.

I count it as a great blessing to be the pastor of Pine Ridge and look forward to the possibilities God holds for this church. I enjoy my involvement as an Oblate at Mt. St. Scholastica in Atchison, KS.

For quiet meditation during the day I recommend the site, "Sacred Space"

Buzzy LeCluyse

Associate Pastor of Discipleship

I joined the Pine Ridge team June 1, 2015 as the Associate Pastor for Discipleship after graduating from Princeton Theological Seminary. I am passionate about helping people of all ages grow in their faith through worship, education, mission and fellowship. What I enjoy most about Pine Ridge are the people and growing together as we seek to live out God’s will by loving and serving our neighbors near and far.

My husband Joe and I moved to Kansas City after a short time on the East coast and twenty five years in Phoenix where we raised our two daughters. Moving to Kansas City was coming “full circle” for us since Joe is from Lenexa, Kansas and we met while we were students at the University of Kansas. Our daughters live in Philadelphia and we enjoy visiting and traveling with them and cheering on the Jayhawks and Arizona Wildcats together. Wonder where I got my name? Come visit us and I’ll tell you!

Lisa Schreiber

Church Administrator

I joined the Pine Ridge staff in September of 1993 as a part-time secretary when there were just 256 members.  A lot has changed since then:  committees, programs, technology, staff, even our church building. I've seen Pine Ridge grow to its current membership of 643 and I have grown with it, both spiritually and professionally, from part-time secretary to Office Manager in 2011, to Church Administrator in 2016.

I am a native of St. Louis, Missouri but moved to Kansas City in 1980 when I married my husband Steve. We have three children and seven grandchildren that all live just outside of the Kansas City area and keep us busy.

Office Coordinator

I joined the Pine Ridge family in December of 2013 as the Office Coordinator.

My husband, Justin and I married in 2013. We have three busy kiddos Cameron, Kinley and Cora who constantly keeps us on our toes! We live in Smithville, MO and enjoy the beautiful outdoors. Our oldest Cameron keeps us busy with his sports so you can always find us outside cheering on Smithville baseball or football.

I’m very honored to be a part of such a wonderful, loving church family. I enjoy working in the church office, helping our congregational members and visitors. I love creating the different publications that Pine Ridge offers. I look forward to my future here at Pine Ridge.

Christina Rees

Youth Director

I joined the Pine Ridge family as Youth Director in Summer of 2018. I’m originally from Indianapolis, IN and moved to Missouri for college at the University of Missouri, graduating in 2017. I recently began my Masters of Mission and Discipleship as of the Summer of 2018. I currently live in Independence with my fiance Zach and our three fur-babies! I enjoy photography and coaching softball in my free time.
Working in ministry and for the church was something I’ve been preparing for over the years completion of two youth ministry internships and working as an Interim Youth Director in Columbia, MO. My goal within the church is to work with youth and young adults around the country to bridge the gap many churches face between childhood and adulthood. I hope to encourage and support the youth at Pine Ridge to actively seek God in their everyday life, in whatever way suits their faith. In doing so, I believe youth are more likely to continue on their journey with God as they move beyond high school. I’m an open book, so please, let me know if you have any questions and hope to see you around the Pine Ridge community.

Children's Ministry

I have lived in Kansas City since 1977, and actually graduated from Park Hill High School, right across the street from Pine Ridge.  My Youth For Christ youth group met in Genesis House!  I graduated from NWMSU with a BS in Math.  I began working in Children’s Ministry at Pine Ridge in 2004.
My husband Karl and I have been married since 1990, and have three fantastic boys who still keep us busy. We joined Pine Ridge in 1996, and the whole family was baptized together the following year.  That is one of my fondest memories at Pine Ridge!

Teaching children is very inspirational; helping them learn about God’s love for them and others is truly one of the most rewarding aspects of working in Children’s Ministry. I am still amazed at how much I learn from teaching children!

Dale Bolyard

Director of Music

Dale Bolyard Image

After graduating from College of the Ozarks in 1998 with a BS in Music Vocal Performance and a minor in Philosophy/Religion, I served as Chancel Choir & Bell Choir director at Westminster Presbyterian in Springfield, Missouri, for four years. I received a MA in Music, with an emphasis in choral conducting from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music in 2010. Springfield is where I met and married my wonderful wife, Lori, in 2000. We have two delightful children, Audrey and Elise. I have been serving as Director of Music at Pine Ridge since May 2003.

I have a passion for music worship in the church to be more than just a nice song or a great sound. It is another means by which we can express our faith and devotion to our God.  Likewise, it is a means by which people experience God like no other. All styles of music can be worship if God is at the center of them. So make a joyful noise!

I've received my Bachelors of Music in Theory/Composition at Dallas Baptist University and my Masters of Music in Collaborative Piano from the University of Colorado Boulder. I have enjoyed playing for local musicals as well as singing with the Kansas City Symphony Chorus. Currently, I am the Vocal Accompanist at North Kansas City High School and enjoying a career in full time music.

Elaine Baeumler

PDO Director

Born in Buffalo, NY I found my way to Kansas City via Washington, DC and New Orleans. I have been a member of Pine Ridge since 1993 and have served in many capacities. I am an elder, served on fellowship, sang in chancel choir and taught Sunday School.

Children have always been an important part of my life and was one of the reasons for choosing secondary education as my major in college. But the little ones have always pulled the strings of my heart! So, I continued to teach Sunday School as my career took a different direction. Instead of teaching high school I taught adults and eventually found my way to TWA where I was quite happy!

After retiring I became a PDO volunteer and read to the kiddos twice a week. I was asked to sub a few times and I was hooked! I have been the lead teacher in the 4-5 year old room for the past 6 years.

PDO is a wonderful outreach ministry of Pine Ridge! Initially started 20 plus years ago it has grown to be more than a parent’s day out! We have many special events and help our kiddos love to learn! We are blessed by many families and pray that we have blessed them as well!

Come join us as we love, pray and learn as Jesus Christ leads us to do! We are always looking for volunteers, teachers and new kiddos to join! My door is always open!

Kristi Auch

Preschool Director

Originally from Nebraska our family moved to the Kansas City area in 2002.  My husband Richard and I were married in 1986 and we have a college age son, Mason.

I have been in education since 1998 working with preschool and school age children. I have worked in the North Kansas City School District as well as faith based preschools and have a passion for teaching young minds. I was a founding teacher of Pine Ridge Preschool in 2010 and played an instrumental role in developing our program. We have grown from three to five classrooms and have welcomed hundreds of families into our preschool program. I love that our center allows the children to develop a sense of self-worth and grow emotionally through social interaction in a safe and nurturing environment. The best part about teaching preschool in a faith-based setting is that I can teach the children about the love of God and allow the children to grow in a spiritual direction. My motivation to teach preschool is that “light bulb” moment when a child grasps a concept for the first time.
